Mom's Ginger Snaps

2 cups sugar
1 1/2 cups shortening
1/2 cup molasses
2 eggs
2 cups DFM whole white wheat flour
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
4 tsp soda
2 tsp ginger
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp cloves

Mix sugar and shortening.  Add molasses and eggs.  Mix well.

Add dry ingredients.  Roll dough into 1 1/2" balls.  Flatten with bottom of glass dipped in sugar.

Bake at 350 for 11 - 12 minutes or until crackly and firm.
